OK does it really take the incredible hulk to get one of these to start crushing? It is like hitting a wall. I have removed the sleeve reassembled everything without it and my bearings will seat right up. My Matco impact won't do it, and the 3 foot pieces of pipe I have on my wrenches is getting borderline reckless.

When I did mine it took a mighty heave on a 5 ft bar to get it started. They say 250 ft-lbs but I say it's a lot more.

I agree, I hit 210 ft lbs without even starting the sleeve. I had a 2' pipe wrench with a 3' piece of 1 1/4 pipe wedged to the floor to hold the yoke and a 3' piece of pipe on my 3/4" drive breaker bar. I thought I was going to break it. Would have been easier if it was in the car and secure but with it just sitting on jack stands it was hard to keep it from walking off.

We will button it up next weekend, can't wait till spring to see how it go's with the 3:55 gears!
