8 1/4 rearend

Okay, i found a rear end for my car the rear end he has is from a 1976 hang ten dart its an 8 1/4 highway gears nothing special but a improvement from a 7 1/4 thats broke... besides the rear end is there anything else i need to change it. And Generally What is the price of an 8 1/4 rear End

You'll need the driveshaft from the hang 10. It will work if it has the same trans as your car, ie. 904-904 or 727-727. the 904 and 727 have different spline outputs. Those little 7 1/4"s sure break easy don't they. Broke one myself way back.

I just bought one in Klamath Falls, Or. for $150 that was complete. Around Eugene or Portland for a non-surgrip they've been asking $200-350. Good luck.

You will also need the shock plates and U bolts off of the 8 1/4.
