I'm planning on a mild 318 build for my 1976 Scamp (you've probably seen a few of my posts on the Small Block Tech boards) and I was wanting to make sure what kind of rearend I had in it. I'm about 90% sure that it is an 8.25 based on the info I've found online and general questions I've asked on these forums.

I've just taken a few pictures of it and was wanting to see if anyone could I.D. it so if/when I order the sure-grip and new gears I get the right stuff. I'm also assuming that it's a 27-spline.

Any good places to look for the sure-grip carrier and gears for this puppy?

From what I've seen doing my 8 1/4 is the carrier bearings are different sizes. My rear was a 76' or so I was told, so I got the kit for a '76 and up rear end, everything was the same except the carrier bearings.

It was 27 spline.
