8 3/4 axle

So we have a B body axle in my son's 71 demon we finished off the brakes and put the wheels on figured we were done.
I grabbed the wheel top and bottom checked for wheel bearing play , found to be a lot of play on both sides , is this adjustable or are the bearings done and need to be replaced ??? Any help would be great

The passenger side should have an adjuster on it if you have the factory taper bearings. Do yourself a favor and get a factory service manual. There are also thrust blocks in the differential to consider (if they're broken).

Many guys go with standard roller bearings (green bearings) and eliminate the adjustment all together. Either way, there is plenty of information on this forum and anywhere else on the net. Doctor Diff is a good source too.
