8 3/4 clicking/clunk

I just installed my 8 3/4 and I was free spinning it is with no driveshaft attached. It’s making a clicking/clunk as I spin either tire. Doesn’t seem to drag or have lots of resistance. Any ideas what this is? Hope it’s not a big problem

Is it a open differential? If so what your hearing is the spider gears, nothing to be concerned about.

I think it’s an open rear end. It’s got a tru track I believe

When you turn one wheel does the other one turn the opposite way?
