Hey guys, I was wondering if the posi units for the 8 3/4 are interchangeable between the 3 different housings or does each one have it's own. Thanks . P.S. obviosly I didn't mean posistion swap. Damn auto correct.

The Sure Grip unit is interchangeable however the ring and pinion are different for each housing, 741,742 & 489. The clutch style and cone style Sure grip units will swap across housings.

Suregrip or not, the chunk, 741, 742, 489 will interchange with any 8 3/4 housing. Where you run into trouble is, using parts from one chunk to another.
