what type of oil do i need for my 8 3/4 rear end w.Suregrip. ?

and how much?
and how is it drained?

Ma Mopar didn't put a drain plug in them. You could maybe suck it out or open up the case. Our you could drill a hole in the bottom of the housing and weld in a bung so you don't have this problem again.

Drill a hole in the bottom, use a #21 drill bit, let it drain. Tap the hole with a 10/32" fine thread tap with grease on the tap to collect the shavings. Use a 10/32 screw with a flat washer and fab a small round gasket and your all set.

Good tech article on drain plug install. Just did mine last weekend. Picks are on my build thread. You can get hex head flush install plugs from McMaster Carr. I even got one w a magnet on it. Again pics are on my build threaad.
