What would I have to do to get a B-Body 8 3/4 rear to get it to fit into my 71 Duster. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Tom

Or ... just relocate the perches and compensate with offset wheels. Using the earlier b-body rearend will give you a bit more room. I believe it is just shy of 2" shorter than the post-67 b-body rearends. Someone just finished their install recently. Take a look for the thread.

i got one and found out the axels were nekt down and couldnt be shortened. its a little more than two inches longer. so the easiest way is to move the purches in 1/2 inch each and get wheels with the most ofset and your in.

Or... install it as is and don't worry about the 1/2" difference in the perch locations - let the leaf springs hang at a slight angle. Many have been done this way over the years without issue. Make up for the extra length with wheel backspacing.
