8 3/4 rearend out of a truck

I need someone to let me know if a 8 3/4 rearend out of a truck with 3.55 sure grips work in my 66 Valiant no matter what one came out of i was goin to have it shortened anyway and move my springs so i can get bigger tires under it anyway so if anyone know can i get this to work for me.

Yes, as long as it is a standard bolt pattern and not 3/4 ton or something.

if it is a 5 lug,,,why would the size matter if your going to shorten it ? you will need shock/leaf plates for the 8 3/4,,so get those from the truck if they are there the orignal 7 1/4 plates will be to small to mate to the bigger 8 3/4 axel tubes

As long as it's not a real old style rearend that used brake drums that were held on by spindle nuts it'll work.

BTW: don't that period work on your puter? LOL
