8 3/4 sure grip

how difficult is it to transfer a suregrip to an open gearset?
i've never done this before...any tips?
adjust with axle bearing retainers?

Been there, done that. It's not difficult. You will need a Dial Indicator Set so you can check gear backlash (before and after), and a pair of store bought 8 3/4 spanner wrenches or a homemade spanner wrench set, and the instructions from a factory service manual, or good step-by-step instructions.
