8 3/4 Swap Question

Will a 8 3/4 rearend from a 68 Dodge Monaco fit on a 68 Dodge Dart 4 door. The one I'm looking at has the large bolt pattern and my Dart has the small bolt pattern. If it fits and I were to use the 8 3/4 LBP would I have to change the front end to LBP also? Or can I just use LBP rims on the back and SBP on the front?

It will fit but you would have to have wheels with a ton of back space to compensate the rear end being almost 6 inches longer

This is correct, you will also have to weld new spring perches on for your leaf springs as they are closer together than the Monaco, and shorten your driveshaft. You can mix and match wheel bolt patterns front to back unless your local laws state otherwise. Lots of cars run around with different bolt patterns front and back. Honestly, you would be further ahead buying an A body rear, or doing the Ford Explorer 8.8 swap.
