I bought an 8.75" axle from someone here on the forum. It measured good.
Put Mosier axles and Dr. Diff disc break kit on the axle. everything fit well with no problems.
The axles required a little tapping to be seated, but not that bad compared to some I have done.
Using 255-60/15 tires on steel 15x8 wheel wheels with 4.75" Back spacing.
I mounted the tires on the axle and to my dismay the left side fits good but the right side, the tire is past the lip of the fender. It is almost 3/4" past the inside lip edge.
I have been measuring everything on the body and both sides are equal. I then put a level on the tires. The left side is almost straight up and down about a line off of center, but the right is a half a bubble off.
My question is are the rear tires suppose to be straight up and down level or do they have a little offset?
What I am thinking is I have a bent axle housing on the right side or both sides.
Anyone ran into bent axle housings before?
