833 od shifter

the hurst shifter for the 833 od ,on the levers. what is the shift pattern for this setup. any thing special you have to do on this set up. i am buying shifter unit (hurst) off ebay. thanks for any help. ron

The shift pattern is the standard 4spd H with reverse over to the left and up (next to first).

To make the A833OD shift with this pattern the 3/4 lever on the tranny needs to be flipped over so it points down where in the standard A833 it points up like the 1/2 lever.

What he said and the shifter is not special for the OD trans. You can flip the lever over on any shifter that fits an 833.

Yea but if you flip the lever over on a non OD transmission 4th gear is at the 3rd gear shifter position and 3rd is where 4th is.
