9 1/4 info needed

Hey guys... do you know who can supply tube ends, bearings, backing plates, etc for shortening a 9 1/4 diff? Thanks

You can convert it to a semi floating axle with Dana 60-8-3/4 axle housing ends and non adjustable "Green" style bearings. I have seen mention of the possibility of using Ford 9 inch housing ends and readily available cut to length 31 spline axles. I have yet to confirm what the pressure angle is on the 9-1/4 axle splines (the diametrical pitch on modern axles was standardized at 24/48 in the sixties), but the Ford axles have a 45 degree pressure angle. AFIK, all Chrysler and Dana axles have a 30 degree pressure angle, so the splines are probably going to be a custom cut either way.
