90 degree oil filter adapter on a 5.9L Magnum?

Any problems using the 90 degree oil filter adapters on the Magnum block?

I was told that the adapter plate was different from the LA to the Magnum so wasn't sure how that may effect things.

Just so I'm clear, does the 90 adapter bolt over the adapter plate or take its place?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, I've just never dealt with one.

Take the factory oil filter fitting and plate off and toss them on the shelf. You don't need it with the adapter.

If you use a big copper flat washer between the big bolt that holds it on, and the 90 degree adapter body, it will be less prone to leak. Use the copper washer instead of the nylon thing that comes in a gasket set for the adapter.
