904 dust shield interference problem after converter change, resolved

I recently installed a different 904 and with it a HP 3000 stall converter that uses 7/16" bolts.

After completion the bolts came in contact with the dust shield. Made quite a racket! I ordered ARP bolts to replace the HP bolts. These bolts are .05" thinner at the head and resolved the problem. Just an FYI.

...i had that problem on a previous build. Got frustrated and just left the dust cover off.
I'll try your solution if i have the problem on my current project.
