So I just pulled my trans out this morning and can match the numbers up on left side of pan rail.Anybody know what year this is?The best I can make out of the numbers is 392080a.The vin looks like 90286312.Thanks

The 2839 is the final assembly date for the transmission from the 10,000 day calendar - May 6th, 1969

I thought it was odd that numbers in the book I have skip from starting with 38 to 40.

9B, so it is from a car built at Hamtramck during the 1969 model year.
They were making A bodies and Chargers then.
