Previous post mentioned the 700r4 which is an overdrive, thus my post. Same applies to your post. These trans build more heat with stall converters, headers, etc. Need to keep it in check. A gauge is a must. Can't blame the clutches for heat. Need deep pan, addt'l cooling, etc. if you're going to do it. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you entirely about a gauge, deep pan, trans coolers, etc.
