904 lever

Im rebuilding my sb 904 for street and some strip use.Should i us the 5.0 kickdown lever? I have heard it go both ways and am not sure what to do.I will be reusing my t/a manual valve body and deep pan along with red clutchs and new steels . thanks

I wouldn't use a 5.0 lever if I were you. Sometimes they can cause shift overlap. Use a 4.2 lever. It'll still shift great but usually don't cause overlap but most valavebodies state what lever to use also. Check out what TA recommends and go with it.
