Quick question on the 904 transmission. Im pretty sure this was hooked up to a 340 before it was pulled. I plan to put it on my 360 magnum. I have the flex plate and torque converter for both, my plan was to use the magnum flexplate (might require elongating a hole) and the torque converter that came with the 904.

Is this the way to go?

Edit: the 904 came from a 70' challenger,
5.9 from a 99 durango

What year 5.9? ...There was a split, (about '96-'97 ) with flywheel balance....let's start there....

Just did that. I trimmed down the edges of a washer so it made up what material I thought I lost elongating the hole. I bet those flexplates weren't perfectly balanced from the factory anyway

I can tell you from experience 1/8 inch of one of the converter bolt holes doesn't bother it one bit.
Go for it.
