904 mounting tab question

Hey Fabo, I'm in need of your help once again. I was under my 72 Dart last night, installing my cheetah shifter. As I was running the shift cable, I noticed the mounting tab where the cable is supposed to go, looks to have been removed.

What options do I have for fixing the tab or mounting the cable bracket another way? If anyone has been down this road before, I sure would appreciate your feedback!

I thought about fabricating a bracket that would mount from the trans pan bolts. Viable option or not?

I'm working on disassembling an old trans for practice. Shoyld have that apart by next week. Then I'll work on the trans that needs to be welded. Slow progress
