904 Sliding the 1-2 shift

I have a 904 in my Dart 340 worked great Sunday morning that afternoon or start sliding into second gear when manually shifting it. The harder the acceleration the worse it is. The trans was built before I got the car. It has a mild shift and when I built the engine i installed a 3000 stall converter. The fluid looks good and clean and works good under normal driving. My question is would a band adjustment help this issue?

Maybe. I would surely try it. Also, check to see your throttle linkage adjustment hasn't slipped. Seen it happen a good bit.

What are the standard shift points on easy acceleration, 1-2 and 2-3? You may need to play with your kick down linkage.

Finally found time to pull the trans pan it 's burnt good. Tried to adjust band s with no avail. My next question is i bought another 904 core to build. It has a vibration weight on the tail shaft. What years was this used? I haven't picked it up yet so I can't get the numbers off it.
