I like to see engine combos dynoed so I thought some of you might be interested.
Built this 440 last spring for a guy.

.030 over 69 440.
Speed pro 2355, 9.6 to 1
906 heads with 2.14 1.81 valves, bowl blended
Crower 271HDP 222 234 @ .050 112 lsa
Performer RPM intake, Holley 750 hp, 1 3/4 headers

420hp
480 torque
15" of vacuum at idle.
Lost 7hp and about as much torque with a 800 Edelbrock AVS
Runs very nice.

That’s a good cam. I ran one in a mild 440 in my heap for a while.

Something noticeably bigger can unlock a fair amount of power, but it totally changes the character/application of the build.

love this build. stone ax that's no drama and will run like a sewing machine forever. equally at home in a truck or an a-body it'll haul the mail.

if i'm not mistaken, didn't you do a low compression 400 build as well?

It's actually going in a 69 Charger . But I agree, would be good in almost anything.
I built a low compression 440 a few years ago. That had a Hughes Whiplash cam.
