Not sure, I will ask him. Rear appears pretty clean so that would be strange but I haven’t seen it in person myself

Also some clear close up photos of the condition of the housing (rust, pick marks etc, would be helpful)

So the hole mark is a burn/divet from a torch when someone probably cut bolts with a torch. It is not all the way through tube and he said he can weld it .
