A body 8 3/4

I'm in the process of acquiring an A Body that I intend to make track worthy. How much should a complete A body 8 3/4 run me?

Does anyone know where there may be one for sale in / near Massachusetts?

i got my a-body 8 3/4 out of a junkyard, 2.76 gears, open diff...$400. Took me another $1300 to rebuild it. so a total of around $1700 all together...you can buy new complete rear-ends for only a few hundred more, but its not the same knowing that someone else built it for you.

Watch around...I found a complete drum to drum with 3.55, 489 case, sure grip for $600.00

yeah u can get very lucky like i did. i bought a complete 8 3/3 drum to drum open diff. for a 100 out of the local junk yard. then i traded some danan 60 parts for a 3.55 pois 3rd memeber. the great deals are out there just a pain to come across them...
