Hi everyone. Been a while since I've been on. Looking for some help on a pair of bucket seats that I have that I'm going to need to sell. I seem to remember them being '73 or '74 Duster seats, but memory is not what it used to be so I'm sure someone can chime in and confirm for me. Was planning on recovering etc. and putting in our Dart, but health has gotten much worse so have finally come to the realization that they just aren't going to happen.

The seats are in nice shape. The previous owner took the cover off one seat and his cat decided to use it as a scratching post before he realized. The foam itself has nice spring in it and is not powder if you know what I mean by that. I was going to pull the other cover, put a thin layer of batting on each (is that the term?) and put on some new covers. Not long after I got them health turned for the worse though and so they have just sat high and dry in my shed with nothing done to them.

There are no tracks for them. I do have three of the hinge cover pieces I got when I got the seats and I have the cover rods for the seat that has no cover on it (two rods I think it is). Other than that they are as pictured.

How much do you think they might be worth as I've really no idea now? Of course, can certainly use the money now, but at the same time not looking to retire off of them if you know what I mean. Should I muck with eBay on them or just advertise them on Craigslist or something? Hmm, guess I'm sort of advertising them here as well now I've posted this. Sorry if in wrong section if so. Guess if anyone is interested you could email me. Just not sure what they are worth is the point really.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers

Giving this a bump to see if anyone can help.

Perhaps needed to be posted in the parts for sale section, but as a query I wasn't sure. Mods, if it needs moving feel free to do so, thanks.

Yes they look to be the 73/74 seats. Not sure if they go up through 76 or if they were changed after 74.

I bought a set two years ago really nice condition (usable driver condition) complete with all hardware (hinge covers and seat latch knobs) and seat tracks for $300. So my guess is that you could ask $175 or best offer.

I'm putting mine in a 72 Demon, I know they are not "correct" for that year but I have always like the look of the 73/74 better than the early years.

Thanks for the reply. I like the look of this style seat too. Just not going to be able to do anything with them sorry to say.

Thanks for the input on the value. I probably need to post again in the for sale section then or do you think eBay is a better place to put them?

If I said then $130 do you think that would be fair? Don't remember what I paid for them sorry to say, but seems like it was around that. Could certainly use the funds now and as I'm in no fit shape to do anything with them so time for them to go. I do remember I got them from a really nice chap. We emailed back and forth for a while, but then I lost his email.

Anyway, any input from anyone gladly accepted and if anyone is interested in them you can PM me on them. Located in NM. I know they can be shipped if the backs are unbolted I believe, but I would guess that might be somewhat expensive and I'd have to buy a box or two.

Thanks for your help.
Cheers

they are probably worth 300.00 well it least to me they are ...it;s the shipping that sucks..keep them...fespecially for the 130.00...put them in your garage and sit on them...they fit good on the floor or bolted to a 4x4..sell the other stuff you got.. ...I have a few sets...or i would buy them in a NY minute...just my 2 cents

Thanks for the reply. I don't know why I'm not getting notices that people are replying as I thought I subscribed to the thread. Anyway, wow, $300 is a chunk of change! Might have to rethink costs a bit then if the feeling is they are worth in the $175-300 range. Of course, the old saying is that things will be worth only what someone is willing to pay, but........

Would be nice to keep them, but then all I'd be doing is sitting on them or storing them as it does not look like I'll be able to tinker on anything again. As such our much loved Dart will probably end up being for sale this summer. That is really going to hurt. Not the best time to try and sell still either, but if I'm unable to work on it when needed it will really get me down worse.

Thanks for the inputs on them.
Cheers
