Up for sale is a A-body Dana 60 with 4.10 gears and power lok. I was going to use it for a project but dont need it anymore. When I bought it the guy said it was a shortened rear end from a truck. Measurements are 56.75" drum to drum mounting flange(axle flanges) and 52" from axle housing flange to flange. It has 16 or 17 splined axles. Has welded axle tubes. Also comes with new diff cover and spring Mopar spring perches. Missing some wheel studs. Asking $500. I am in Fort Collins, CO 80524. Would prefer pickup. Thanks :)

What are the measurements where the tubes insert into the center section to flange?

Are they the same length?

Don't know heck of a lot about dana rears but I think this is a good deal since its already cut for an ABody.

It's got no offset in it which is not good for mopars.

Might be a good rear for a Camaro, Nova, Mustang.

In the first picture, there appears to be at least some offset to the passengers side. Is it a fact that Dana pinions are centered on the housing, so the axles need to be different lengths? I only ask to educate myself and other buyers.
Thank you.

For a Dana 60 to have correct Mopar car offset, the drivers side tube needs to be 1 3/8" longer than the pass side.

More to it than getting the overall length correct.

i believe all rearends have to have offset if you want the pinion to be in the center of car.

Mopar pinions are not centered in the car. They are offset to the pass side, along with the rest of the drivetrain.

I was referring to high performance applications. All my race cars have drivelines centered in bodies. I suppose if you were putting in stock location it would have to be offset.
good luck with sale, it still seems like a good deal
