A Little dash pad help?

Hi FABO,

Is it possible to swap out a cracked dash pad, or do you need to find a donor dash that is mint with uncracked pad? I'm looking at buying a dash with nice "chrome" detailing intact and better heater controls but a cracked pad for my '68GT. Advice requested, links appreciated.

The pad is easily swapped, however 68 is a one year only pad. They do make a plastic overlay cap that covers your old pad. I've used a couple over the years with good results. Ck E-bay, just under $100.00

The top pad in 68 is the same as 69 I believe, and maybe later pads, it is the lower pad that makes 68 unique!

Cosgig, what makes the 68 pad unique is its cut square on the ends where it meets the lower pad.

Have you considered doing away with the dash pad all together?
