Hi All: I know this is pretty insignificant, but I just love it when stuff like this happens. Recently, the factory original horn relay on my 1974 Duster failed. I searched around trying to find one at NAPA or O'Reilly Auto Parts, but couldn't locate the correct one. So I went to e-Bay and made an amazing find. My original horn relay is part number 3764775, date coded 2113 (Monday, July 30 1973). Amazingly, I found one being sold by Chet's Auto Parts that was not only the same part number, but manufactured on the same day. What's the chance of finding a 48 year old NOS part made on the same day at the same factory as the original? So I bought it, my horn works perfectly and I have Chet to thank. I love keeping the originality of my car, and if I can't have the factory original part then a perfect replacement is the next best thing. See photos below of the original, the replacement, and the two side by side. Thanks for reading my story. Cheers to all!
