so, previous owner installed a replacement muffler (not performance, just quiet old muffler).
I bought a 2.5" Thrush Welded muffler and the guy at the shop had to weld an adapter bigger than the pipe and the inlet. I'm assuming this was a 3" adapter (i forgot to ask).
I was looking at this CBE because it fits my offset inlet/center outlet configuration and it's cheap for a quick fix!

My question is: is the inlet size TOO big for me to use? Also, will having a larger inlet cause performance issues?
This is just a daily driver 1974 Plymouth Scamp 318, by the way.
