A Tool Followed Me Home.............One I Didn't Need.......

-
My dad worked for a farmer who had a 3/4 ton GMC service truck. They had a slooow leak in one tire, like add some air once a week. They finally took it in and found an entire railroad spike inside the tire!

I was out cruising one night and got a flat. When i stopped to change it i found a 9/16 combo wrench in the tire. Still have it in my tool box
We had a customer do the same thing ! 9/16 wrench inside the tire of 2 day old Acura MDX .
She must have driven a ways with it because one end was all ground down . I assume the front tire ran it over and flipped it up at just the right angle so when the rear tire hit it would be wedged perfectly. It takes a lot of force to drive a blunt object through a radial !

I developed a leak in one of my Mazda B2600i tires a few weeks ago but could find any screw or nail . When I pumped the tire up to 50# and pulled the air nozzle off the valve stem the entire core shot out . The thread insert separated from the valve stem body .
I went to Amazon and bought a cheezy looking tool that claimed to replace valve stems without removing the tire . IT WORKED GREAT ! Less than a minute to replace !
