Part of an American soldier’s training involves procedures to follow when captured. There are a series of subtle gestures and signals to use to convey messages. One of those is a crossing of the fingers to show that the soldier is being forced to unwillingly participate in something like some kind of propaganda photo or video showing them with the enemy and apparently getting along well. Page down and you will see a well-trained soldier demonstrating this technique.

Yes, he is an All American, and I believe that picture has been going around for a few years, dating from one of Mrs Clinton's senatorial campaigns. Still good to see a quick witted young trooper giving the establishment the respect it deserves.
