So, last month I was able to locate a 46RH in Los Vegas for a great price! $400 but the guy wasn't interested in shipping so my buddy and I made the snap decision and bombed out to Vegas in the middle of the night! Needless to say we got the transmission and now I'm ready to tear it down and rebuild it. first thing first I tore it down and cleaned up the case cause she was a dirty girl.. Upon opening up the pan I noticed shavings and flake in the pan BUT everything was clean and looked new'ish? After breaking everything down I couldn't find the source of the shavings. I did notice all the steels are used and have wear but the clutches look to be new but lightly used as if rebuilt with a few miles.
