Can any of you younger folks read (or good guess) the year on this A833 tag? Buggers screwed right into it! There aren't any stamped '63 for the '64 model year release are there?

Those are not screws....The tag was screwed into the pattern....which then showed up on the casting.

I just pulled a mystery A833 out of my car. It doesn’t have a raised pad on the passenger side, and according to Brewer’s website it should be pre MY 68. Mine doesn’t have a year on it, just day and month, and a different shape. Does yours have a raised pad on the other side, if so it would be post 68 and should have a 10,000 day calendar date on it.

Assuming it has the original tail housing, it looks to be a ‘66. Check to see if its 26 or 30 spline output.

26 spline output is a non-issue IMO. At that horsepower level, other things will break way before the shaft starts to twist.

Dana 60, Eaton helical locker, so it won't be the rear end that ever breaks.
I thought I was a pretty knowegable Mopar guy, and I am ashamed to admit that I have never heard of anything other than 18 and 23 spline in the A833.
