A833 mystery

I took the cover off of my A833 because it wouldn't shift. I found a broken shift fork. But aren't there also supposed to be detent balls between the shift lever cams and the pin cylinder? I couldn't find them anywhere. Could these missing parts have been behind difficult shifting that ultimately led to the broken fork?

There's no mystery, LOL, they are missing. And it might explain why the fork broke

Try Brewers's or Passon Performance for replacement parts.

And replace both forks with steel ones while it is apart. As mentioned above, call Brewers.
