A833 OD Decode - Help!

Can anyone help decode the following trans? Trying to rebuild it and figure out what it is... Aluminum housing, tail, Day 6786 is Monday, February 25, 1980 - ? Thanks!

If it has an aluminum tailshaft housing, it has to be out of an F or M body. A truck or van has a longer B-body type iron tailshaft housing.

But is the case on a truck OD still aluminum?

Yes, most but I have seen early overdrive truck cases that are iron. 76-77 maybe?

Mopar made ODs for GM to put in 1/2 tons . They came with both iron and aluminum cases.

That would be quite problematic, as it is in a vehicle and 1500 miles away.
