Hey everyone, just recently started to get a slow drip from my speedometer pinion adapter and between the adapter and fitting of the speedo cable. I believe im just going to replace both, the speedo cable isnt hard to find, found them on brewers, but the pinion adapter has got me puzzled, i know there is one to fit a 26-45 tooth pinion and a 21-25 tooth pinion is there any way to tell which i need? it might just need a o ring but the speedo doesnt work now as it is i dont know if its the cable the adapter, pinion or gauge but when i release the parking brake the speedo needle jumps a little in the cluster, I remember when we put the dash back together it was a pain to put it in but dont know if its in all the way, when i first got the car before the resto the needle would just bounce erratically when moving the car around the shop.
Trans has been rebuilt, any chance the speedo pinion is bad?
My main goal is to stop the leak, but if i can get the speedo working at the same time it will be a plus
Any thoughts or input?
