Its not a car question, but I hope someone might know the answer.

I'm looking for a 3 speed transmission, with the low ratio gear set, that will bolt to a Small Block Mopar, bolt to a transfer case, and non-lock up. So either a A998 or A999.

Found this thread and looks like it could exist but haven't found what vehicle and years it could of came in:
Your 'Guide' to the 727/904 transmission

Also found this list but it looks like all of the 4x4 transmissions are 727.
torqueflite trans part numbers, 1969-79 plus AMC 72-79 | Best of Moparts / Tech Archive | Moparts Forums

Does anyone know if a A999 4x4 transmission exists?

I believe the 999 is a lock up trans. If you go to jeepforum.com and go the the transmission review area, you can get some idea if it is the way you want to go.

I have the A998 in my ´88 Dakota 4WD, with a NP231D transfer case bolted to it. It has solenoid controlled lockup though.
