I have a 1972 scamp with a 225 slant six, power steering, AC and no smog pump. Bought the car with 1 belt running to the alternator (from the water pump) and one running to the power steering pump (from the crank). there are unoccupied grooves on the crank and water pump and on the ac that line up as well as one on a tensioner and I want to make sure I have this routing right. Seems like the ac belt should go around the water pump, crank, tensioner and ac is this correct?

Thanks

I also am interested in this. I am adding AC to my car but I do not have an idler do I need it and if so how can I get it? How do the belts route? I currently have the same setup as jpywell52.

Not sure about /6 but on my sb there were three belts with ps and ac. One from crank - ps, and the other two went crank - ac - alternator.

Anyone have a picture of a slant with factory ac, ps and no smog pump? two belts on the crank and the water pump
