ACC Carpet Questions

I had added this to another members thread, but I think it got lost, so heres a new thread.
So a couple of questions about ACC carpet, they have quite a few different options, like their loop or essex options, mass backing or no mass backing(is it even needed with sound deadener?) What looks good in everyone's opinion? Did you guys steam your carpets after install? Ive seen that done on TV to help it lay better.
And RockAuto still sells ACC, I just checked.

When I layed mine , I put it in just as it came and it looked fine and fit fine too.
I think I may have had to trim the sides . Be careful of that, not to much.

You want 80/20 cut pile for your car. Essex is fuzzy and for a lot of 74 or 75-ish models and up. Like a Chrysler 5th ave has Essex

I prefer mass backer, I find it installs easier/nicer and the backer provides a little more sound deadening and heat resistance
