Well, you may have seen the install of the 2004 Jaguar seats in my 73 Duster. When I went back for the rear seats (just in case I got ambitious) I picked up the center console armrest.
After some measurement analysis and test fit, I got the top recovered, as the vinyl was cracked, and installed it. Absolutely no modification at all, just drilled 2 holes in the rear top edge of the original console body, put in 2 self tapping screws to hold the original Jaguar hinge, and Voila! Instant armrest!
Is is the perfect height, slides fore and aft for comfort, and flips out of the way so I can access the original console interior. The top part is slid a little forward in the pics, did not realize it until I got home.
