Hi All: Thanks to everyone who weighed in on my Part 17 chapter about keys that came with my 1974 Duster when it was new. Since I posted this, two questions have come to light, and I'd like to ask your opinion on them. First, how many of the key code tags came with your new car's keys. I always thought that the key set only came with a single key code tag. The owner's manual however, says that each of the two sets of keys came with their own key code tag. So that would mean that two tags came with the key set when the car was new. Has anyone ever seen this? Do you remember the key sets back in the day coming with two code tags? I've never seen this. Second, does anyone remember a circular ring type tag that supposedly had the trunk key code? I've seen some websites that say that the trunk key should have its own separate circular code tag. I've seen the circular ring style tags, but I thought that they were for the ignition key. In any case, I thought that the code was the same for both the ignition and the trunk lock, making it unnecessary for there to be more than one code tag. Ideas, anyone?

Don't know what year you are working on but in 67, ignition and doors were one and the same key (Yale Y152). Trunk and glove box a different key (Y149)

Lock smith had to dig out some NOS Y 152s as the latest versions have a slightly different key way
