I am looking at buying some new trim rings for my Duster and they pretty much all of them come in a polished chrome finish...

So I wondered if anyone had tried to use steel wool, or Scotch Brite pads, or sandpaper on chrome to dull the finish?

Or the other option of a flat or satin clear coat spray paint?

I will probably start off experimenting with my existing trim rings.

But any feedback would be great.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Are you running sbp rally wheels? Where did you find the trim rings that fit like they should. I have tried many off of 6 inch rallys to find out they were too deep and wouldn't snap on the wheel. Others I found were too short and looked crappy.

One way is to use a light metal flake chrome clear and with is still wet take a scotch brite pad and go around it in one direction. Had a friend do that on the roof of his race car and it looked awesome. He also cleared over it too.

I just puchased a set from the E BAY seller!, they fit great and look Super!!
