What is the white, string-like adhesive used to attach the moisture barrier on the interior of early A-bodies? I’ve used duct tape to re-attach the plastic sheeting before, but I would prefer to use something like the OEM adhesive. Picture attached. Thanks

or amazon. Interestingly it looks gray till you press the plastic into it, then it looks white

Bottom edge that tucks into slot would use black duct tape.
the factory used some type of what looks like black gaffers tape with a blue masking tape feel. BUT I suspect it there to hold it in place till the door card is on more than for sealing purposes

I prefer the black butyl cord from 3M. It helps sticking in the fridge for a bit before using. Once it warms up, it's a little gummy and sticks to everything you don't want it to.

if you don't care about originality, this is not OEM style, but in my duster, the plastic crumbled and fell apart when I was taking care of some faded interior plastic. I bought a roll of this and it works great: Deck Flash Barrier 12" X 25' Self-Adhesive Ledger Board And Post Flashing

rubbery/flexible, sticky on one side. with the 12" width I ended up doing 2 overlapping layers (kind of like siding)
