Put the stainless trim on my 74 Duster this past week. It fit pretty nice. The corner pictured below keeps wanting to shift toward the outside of the car and ride up over the sheet metal.
Only thing I think I can do is to use a couple dabs of adhesive under it to keep it in place. Wondering what to use? Butyl? Urethane? What?
Appreciate the suggestions....

I really like RTV for that kind of stuff.
Not only does it hold it, but it can be removed without damaging the trim parts.
Couple of dabs under it and tape it in place overnight usually does great.
 
Get a tube of windshield urethane at NAPA.
 
windshield urethane would make the molding very difficult to remove without damage.
