I go every year, as a spectator. Man did the skies open up last year huh. I really don't want to drive a built 440 with 4.10's at about 8mpg all the way up there.

I had a friend that had his car stolen from this event a few years ago, but luckily it was recovered a couple months later, and some of the parts were missing, but at least he got it back. That sort of freaked me out as far as bringing my car up there and leaving it in a hotel parking lot over night, so I no longer attend.

It that the camground thats like 1/4mi down the main road? I hang out at the gas station across the street and egg on the cars doin burnouts after the fireworks :burnout:
My dd is a 4 banger ferd escort, I pulled the e brake and punched it and smoked the front tires. The crowd went wild.
I have a hotel right next to the great escape. Its a white 66 coronet. I lock it up and cover it up. there is no problems but its a busy road and there's a Duncan donuts right next to us so people pay attention
