Adjustable brake pushrod..what did I do wrong

You must insert the push rod in the master cylinder first, then install it on the passenger side of the brake pedal like the original push rod. Place the washers on BOTH sides of the pivot ball. Cass

Hell yeah! Glad you got it figured out! As usual, Cass is a class act.
 
I had the pivot on the drivers side of the brake lever.
I had one washer underneath the head of the bolt, then the pivot ball directly contacting the brake lever, then the second washer on the opposite side of the brake lever underneath the nut.
The correction was moving the pivot to the passenger side and moving that that second washer from underneath the nut to between the pivot and the brake lever..

Worked just like extra butter!
