Anybody else ever do this. Few years back I helped a neighbor with his indoor garden. His wife is from the Ukraine. He wanted to grow some of her native produce. He took some clippings from a live plant and we used a device like shown here....http://growaeroponics.com/.....
we used an organic tea that he brewed up, but it is available, at least here, form a few of the shops that supply the folks who grow there own medical mj. Anyhow, 90% of the cuttings grew roots. Put these is some small pots, water on a regular basis, keep them under a plant light and transplant as needed. In a matter of a few weeks the couple of dozen clippings were planted in his indoor garden, growing like no tomorrow.

We have a black cotton wood tree in our yard that I would like to have a few more of them. Neighbor is also giving us 3 small red maple trees he grew from cuttings. Sure, I could just go out and buy saplings to plant but where is the fun in that? Thinking I might need to get a tub, pump and some small mister nozzles form the local garden supply store and give it a go. I may still have one of the tubs we used for this in the past....

The organic tea is not all that hard to "brew" yourself. Stuff my neighbor brewed was made form ingredients he got from a grocery store and a nursery. I was curious if it was necessary. We built a second aeroponics chamber and just used RO water. Much to our surprise we had about the same success rate, however the root growth was only about 50% of what it was with the organic tea. If the cuttings were left in the chamber a bit longer the roots did continue to grow. End result was the same, just took a bit longer...

...it is a cloning machine...it will work with straight water...better if it doesn't have chlorine/fluoride in it... well water works best...RO is great too..

...heck, just drop it in a glass with water that you can put on the window sill..work as well..

would like to do a dozen or two clippings at once so a glass on the sill aint gonna work. Instead of misting this time I might try it with a bubble type of deal this time. As long as the humidity in the chamber is high don't see why it will not work. Would like to do this in the house, under our grow lamp we use for Ernie's plants...
