Thinking about converting to alcohol. A friend offered a 1050 Gary Williams alcohol carb to try. Fuel system compatable. A1000, aeroquip push lock #10 feed and #8 return. Have to check on regulator. Has aeromotive boost referenced regulator. 440,906,.557 cam,m1,with 950hp at moment. 7.0 to 7.20 in 1/8. Carb has .192 mains square. Seems kinda of big any suggestions.

Been running alcohol for many, many years. Always injected. Alky is a great racing fuel. You will not foul plugs. Your engine will run cooler. Big increase in midrange torque. Easier to tune, more forgiving of being rich. On the downside, you burn more(but its cheaper). Takes longer to warm up. Can be harder to start in cold weather. Prime with gas helps. Do not let alky set in the car for more than 2-3 days. Drain and flush with gas. Can dilute the oil if your really rich but getting up to temp cooks it off. Alky is hydroscopic. Pulls water out of air. Store the alky in air tight metal containers. It will pull water right thru plastic jugs. And it burns clear,no visible flame. You might need to upgrade safety equipment. Personally,I love it.
