I got into checking today...i was pleasantly surprised at how close things were right off..i expected .015 or maybe as much as .03 when i put in a pair of 495 pins into the bell and cinched things up then checked it was .001tir from top to bottom and .0075 from side to side .this means, the bore for the pilot bearing was pretty good...my manual calls for a total of .004 thousandths..i checked the tq/conv register [inside the reg]and it was .001 top to bottom and .003 side to side...the flywheel bore ran .001 all around..im more concerned with the pilot bearing bore,so i cheked after installing a new one and got it within .001 top to bottom and .003 side to side...then i swept the flywheel face and came up with .003 parallel..thot someone mite be interested..j..got lots of pics of method and tooling used but cant send pics except to private e address
